Meaghan Carey has focused her practice in the area of family law since she was admitted to the bar in 2009. She has experience litigating all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including equitable distribution, child support and maintenance, and custody, and is equally experienced settling matters outside the courtroom.
Meaghan has been recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star and has lectured on a variety of topics. Meaghan was recently interviewed on the Divorceify website concerning tips for litigants to control the costs associated with their divorce.
Meaghan is a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Women’s Bar Association (NYWBA) and serves as a chair of the Women’s Health and Reproductive Rights and the Membership committees. In addition, she is member of the New York Bar Association Family Law Section and the New York Women’s Bar Association Matrimonial and Family Law Committee.
Meaghan is also a long-time member of the Board of Directors for the National Organization for Women New York City Chapter (NOW-NYC) and has represented NOW-NYC on a pro bono basis.
